Pakistan – the untold story

Ever watched a news programme and had this sudden desire to cry out that what was on screen was not the true story?

I have.

Pakistan is a country which is much misunderstood. It is misunderstood by many in the western media who, inspite of all their brilliant reportage of the political chaos in the country, have unfortunately failed to cover the myriad of issues which lie behind the headlines. Issues which would with certainty make for intriguing and newsworthy journalism.

More surprisingly however Pakistan is oft misunderstood by Pakistanis themselves. Always blaming outside superpowers for everything bad that happens, Pakistanis need to acknowledge their own failures. This is not to say however that the other nations have not had their share of meddling in the affairs of Pakistan.
