Sherry strongly condemns stoning of adulterous couple by militants

Pakistan’s new Information and Broadcasting Minister, Sherry Rehman, has strongly condemned the terrible act of stoning to death of a couple by militants in Mohmand Agency.

“I condemn in strongest terms the way the couple was put to death in barbaric, gruesome and uncivilized manner, as reported in the press,” she said.

The militant’s spokesperson has reacted angrily to the condemnation and has said that Pakistan was created in the name of Islam and that they did not expect such criticism from the government.

These misguided folks conveniently forget that Pakistan was certainly not founded to function as a hub for moronic doctrines. This is not religion, this is not Islam. Anyone with courage to speak out against such barbarity, including Sherry, needs to be saluted.
