should pakistan really be this friendly with china true economic benefits are numerous, but do we agree with chinese politics, they are not really a relegious nation as a matter of fact the furthest from it, we never get too see or hear how the musims are being treated in china. If Tibet an example to go by then we have the worst to fear I would think
Hi Muhammed, thanks for your comments. I think it is not right to think that just because China is not big no religion, they do not have ethics or concern for minorities. In fact in many regards the people of China lead a more egalitarian and less class-based society then the more “religiously-minded” Pakistanis or Indians.
Of course there are concerns with Human Rights and stuff, but then which country hasn’t? How are minorities treated in Pakistan?
Of course the treatment of the Turkic Uyghurs is a cause for concern. But the Tibet and Uyghur issues must be studied within a rationale strategic and regional context. While China supplies the country with defense apparatus and aids with economic development, should Pakistan start reprimanding it’s neighbour for human rights abuses to further someone else’s strategic goals?

in my opinion pakistan should have very good relation ship with china with regard to muslims in xingiang i would say that we muslims need to look at ourselves as well caz xingiang has been given a status of self autnomus province now if they r allowed to practice there religion freely they should not be asking for a free sate as china is not an antiislamic sate so why do muslims in china have to dismantel it if same was the case in pakistan that a religious miniroty would want a seperate nation would it be acceptable to u no never so why the ruyles change when it comes to china i think xingiang should be part of china but yes the can have the same rule like with hongkong one nation 2 rules/govt and i think its already autunomus
